AEthelmearc Low Profile Fiberglass Spear Experiment

*Duration:*
Experiment has yet to begin.
Experiment to last until the official start of Pennsic 40 (Land Grab Day)

*Weapons that can be used: *
Fiberglass Spears up to 9' in length

*Experiment Identifications:*
Tip will be painted or taped Orange for easy recognition. Prior to engaging the user of the experimental weapon must announce that the weapon is about to be used and that if anyone objects to its use that they need to speak up. If anyone objects, then the weapon is not to be used.

*Terms of the experiment:*
Fiberglass spears may be constructed with 2" (two inche)diameter tips but must still be constructed with 3" (three inches) of foam yielding a minimum of 1.5" (one-and-a-half inches) of resilient give.

*Who may participate:*
Anyone who has been authorized in spear for over 12 months may participate in the experiment.
You must register prior to beginning the experiment so you can be updated on changes within the experiment.

*Where is its use NOT allowed:*
Any event/Practice where the Marshal In Charge says no!
Any fight where any opponent says no. (remember permission must be obtained from every person you will fight prior to engaging.)
Any Crown Tournament or Kingdom Championship

*Reporting:*
All who participate in the experiment must report at a minimum the following information:

• Length of weapon used
• Any dangerous, injurious, or potentially injurious instances that occurred while participating in the experiment.
• Was the weapon used in group or single combat.
• Any constructive comments and/or opinions of the opponent(s)
• Reporting will be monthly and immediately following any injury or incident resulting from this experiment. CLICK HERE TO REPORT
