Here are the Specifications of the Experimental Weapon Construction

• Reduce padding on Rattan Width Thrusting tips (AKA Low Profile Thrusting Tips) to the following range

  • Minimum resilient padding required ½”

  • Maximum resilient padding allowed ¾”

• Requiring that these weapons have the rattan tip fully rounded.

• Allowing these tips on any 1-Handed Weapons up to a maximum of 44” in overall length.

Here is the Duration of this Program:

• The official Launch date of the program is May 1st, 2008. 

• The program ends Dec 31st 2008. 

• The Program may be ended sooner by the Earl Marshal.

• These weapons may only be used be members of this program during this time period.

• All participants of the program will be given notice if the program's duration changes.

Here are the Requirements for participating in this program:

• Participants of this program must register with, and receive an Acceptance Letter From, the earl marshal prior to using the experimental weapon.

• Participants of this program must be a member of the Chivalry or a Group Knight Marshal

• Participants of this program will agree to detailed monthly reports on the performance of the experimental weapons

  • Participants of this program failing to report will be removed from the experiment and bared use of the experimental weapons

• Anyone using the experimental weapon at a SCA function without being part of the program will be subject to a suspended authorization.
